New Land Claimed from the Sea :

Multi Trillion Florin deal gives Fixatia more than 1.000.000 Kmē of new farm land. Well it won't all be farm land, but just about - according to Joseph Isan (Emir and prime minister of the Emirate of Isan - the emirate that is getting the most of the new land)

"Most of the land will indeed be used as farm land in the near future, however this could take another season, as the ground has to be made more futile with grasses first. The construction of a number of towns in the new area is in an advanced phase, these are needed to provide accommodation, etc. for all the thousands of people that will be working in the area soon. We have big plans for the area. Apart from farm land for various crops, there will also be a rather large water purification plant (although the waterways are diked in the water is still rather salty, and not fit to be used just like that). Also a new power plant is being constructed, near the man made island of Boollean I - the largest oil powered plant on Scandia - 12 turbines of 1.000 MWatt - should do the trick."

"For crops we have the following in mind. Grapes mostly for wine - we suspect that the quality should be the same as what is being produced in Isan at the moment. Wheat's of various sorts. Vegetables of all kinds. Fruits of all kinds. Flowers, etc. etc."
